Bangladesh vs New Zealand – Recent Match Report 1st ODI.

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal believes the batsmen will have to learn from their mistakes after being shot down by only 131 in the first ODI against New Zealand. Trent Boult took four wickets while the other bowlers intervened before New Zealand grabbed an easy wicket easily by eight wickets.

“There should be no excuses for the arrangements,” he said. We were very familiar with the isolation, as we did in Queenstown, and here (in Dunedin), so we were mentally prepared for what to expect in New Zealand, or whatever the circumstances.

“Although it was difficult to hit in the morning, we should avoid focusing on our mistakes. I am very proud of our strike and I don’t think the 131 run collection is right for us.

“The problem is, we had a slight 4-5 dismissal, which dragged us back to the feet of the game. There were errors in selecting the shots, which led to a soft dismissal. If we learn from our mistakes, we got at least 260 -270, the result will be different. The strikers must stand up. give the throwers something to protect you. ”

Tamim himself started well as he hit six against Boult in the first over. He followed the frontier against Matt Henry but was well established by Boult before being caught lbw. Soumya Sarkar dropped three balls over time and led to an earlier move that called Bangladesh a game.

Boult, however, has heard that Bangladesh is able to combine full functionality and challenge the unknown. “It was fun to win the toss and obviously we are a vessel in it,” Boult said. “I thought the boys put the ball in a good position. We talk as a team about keeping pressure and not letting the opposing team get away from us. It was fun to stop them and keep the wickets flowing in the middle of the innings.

“I think if you see their players on paper, the knowledge they have, they will be 100 per cent motivated to put it all together in New Zealand. Circumstances are not normal for them compared to what they are used to, back home. Not an opposition team that we can take lightly,” he said.

It was the first time in six years that New Zealand had included 11 players besides Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor. That gave Tom Latham, playing his 100th ODI, a chance to pull off three debuts. Devon Conway, Will Young and Daryl Mitchell did not have much to do but Boult emphasized that they would strengthen their position further in the series.

“I think the team is familiar with the style of cricket we want to play this way. It’s great to have three ODI talks today. They didn’t get a real chance to prove themselves, but Will Young is a top cricket player,” said Pacer. “Devon Conway has made a good start to his career as well. It’s a bit different not having Kane and Ross on that list but it’s good to know that there’s a little depth in there. The guys are hungry to get out of there and push their authority.

“These people feel like they’ve been part of the woods for a very long time. Daryl has started his international career well, especially with the red ball. There’s a good situation going on in the changing room this week. There’s still a lot of hard work to do in this series but we’re going to places where we enjoy playing cricket. that they will have a role to play in this series. ”
